What is the County Championships?
The County Championships is one of our flagship events. The County Championships provide competitive opportunities for players of all standards.
The Surrey County Championships is a Grade 3 event restricted to players from Surrey (based on residence or county of birth) and features junior and adult events, allowing players from 8U to 100+ to take part! There are singles and doubles events and the winner of every event earns the 'County Champion' title for their age group and event.
As well as age groups 8u to OPEN, we also host a specific wheelchair event which has become very popular in recent years.
The County Championships week is the busiest week in the competitive calendar right across the Country with more players competing during this week than any other during the year.

As you can imagine the COVID crisis has forced the County Championships to run in a different way to previous years, therefore please read carefully what refreshments are available at both sites to ensure all players and parents come prepared:
AELTC Community Sports Ground: Toilets will be available however no refreshments will be available. Therefore all players and parents must come prepared with sufficient drinks and snacks.
Aldershot Tennis Centre Toilets will be available and refreshments will be available for players and parents.
Are spectators allowed?
Yes. Spectators are allowed at both of our venues. Please be mindful that each of our venues has the right to impose covid restrictions at anytime during the event. Although we want to encourage as much support for our players as possible, we do ask that those in attendance are conscious of not crowding areas.
